Lake Vermilion

Sometimes I'm "forced against my will" to accompany my mate on various outings. He gets to go fishing while I get stuck in a motel or hotel. Depending on how remote the location is and the weather, I can explore or I get stuck in my room. Most of the time, I get a nice view.

This weekend, I'm at Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota. I've heard that this lake has a very beautiful sunset, but the fog and rain haven't allowed me to see much. I'm stuck in my room today and can't go exploring. I'm trying to "relax" but I'm having a hard time doing so(probably because I have a deadline coming up). Anyhow, I'll try my best to make the most of my situation.

Yummy Tomatoes

This morning I made myself a little tomato salad with my home grown tomatoes. Originally I planted many different types of tomatoes, but unfortunately I only got roma and yellow cherry tomatoes. Regardless, I am not complaining. The tomatoes are so sweet and make a perfect dish for brunch.

Summer

I can't believe it's already the middle of summer. I'm feel as if I've just started savoring the delectible weather. For some reason, the weather has been very cool around here. There have only been a few days that have gotten into the mid-90s, but mostly it's been in the high-80s, with cool nights. I don't know what the next several weeks will bring, but I don't want summer to end.
